| Penerangan CU | Highway Patrolling Auxiliary Police Functions is a competency in executing law enforcement activities in highway traffic safety operation. The competency unit is important to the appointed auxiliary police personnel of highway management as it goes along with granted police powers in enforcing the law within their company’s premises and facilities. The person involved in the application of the competency unit shall be an appointed employees of the accepted organization sworn as auxiliary police, passed a specific training scheme and comply with all requirements for the appointment of auxiliary police members as prescribed by the Ketua Polis Negara. A competent person in this CU shall be able to perform suspect arrestment, perform vehicle inspection, perform traffic control, and perform highway lane closure. The outcome of this competency is to ensure effective highway traffic safety operation control using the right knowledge, skills and attitude accompanied by the specified police power in accordance with organisational requirement. In performing highway patrolling auxiliary police functions, the patrolman must possess a valid car driving licence and motorcycle licence due to the nature of this activity that utilizes vehicle in completing the task. The application of this competency is subject to changes in the provision of the administrative circular of Ketua Polis Negara. |
