A backhoe loader is a heavy equipment vehicle that consists of a tractor like unit fitted with a loader-style shovel/bucket on the front and a backhoe on the back. Due to its (relatively) small size and versatility, backhoe loaders are very common in urban engineering and small construction projects (such as building a small house, fixing urban roads, etc.) as well as developing countries The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform backhoe loader routine check, perform backhoe loader maneuver technique, organize work area activities, perform backhoe loader operating techniques and shutdown backhoe loader operation. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that an operator handle safely a backhoe loader and load in accordance with job requirement, company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and machinery operating manual. |
