| Penerangan CU | Textile finishing describes the competencies required to perform finishing processes on the fabric. Finishing is a process that imparts the required functional properties to the fabric. Finishing processes include mechanical processes such as calendering, compacting, singeing and sanding, and chemical processes such as softening, anti-pilling finishing, weight reduction and water proofing. For specific types of fabric such as knitted spandex, pre-setting is performed prior to dyeing to ensure fabric stability. Warp knit/circular knit/woven with higher percentage of spandex The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform dyed fabric opening, drying, setting, chemical and mechanical finishing. The outcome of this competency is the production of finished fabric in compliance with clients’ quality requirements. |
