| Penerangan CU | Fibre Optic Cable (FOC) network testing and commissioning management performs basic inspection and analysis to measure fibre length and optical loss on two fibres at two wavelengths, computes the optical loss budget, compares the results to the selected industry standard and provides an instant PASS or FAIL indication. As network speeds and bandwidth demands increase, distance and loss limitations have decreased, making fibre optic testing more important than ever The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform post installation testing and commissioning, execute acceptance procedure and prepare final acceptance documentation The outcome of this competency is to ensure that the fibre optic cables are in good quality before handover to the service provider/clients in accordance with company policy, SOP and Local Authority regulation. |
