| Penerangan CU | Surface condition of a substrate is critical in terms of coating performance and durability because coating is significantly influenced by its ability to adhere properly to the substrate material. Thus, it is important to ensure that the blasted surface complies with the specified standards before coating commences. Surface inspection can be broken down into two main categories namely inspection of surface profile and surface cleanliness. Surface profile inspection is the determination of the roughness of the surface while surface cleanliness inspection involves determining how much of the original mill scale, rust and paint have been removed from the surface and how much salt is present.. The person who is competent in this CU will be able to identify blasted surface inspection requirements, inspect surface cleanliness, surface profile and determine blasted surface quality compliance with required standards The outcome of this CU is to ensure that the quality of blasted surface complies with international blasting & coating standards and client requirements. |
