| Penerangan CU | Coating application inspection is the quality control process of ensuring that coatings comply with international coating standards and client requirements. This CU covers the roles of the coating inspector in determining the readiness for commencement of the coating operation and in verifying the compliance of the coating application and quality with the specified standards. The person who is competent in this CU will be able to identify coating application inspection requirements, check environmental condition, painter competency certification, verify HSE compliance, determine status for commencement of coating activities, monitor coating application, and conduct WFT and DFT inspection. The outcome of this competency is to determine the readiness for coating operation and to ensure that coating work complies with international blasting & coating standards and client requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform coating application inspection in accordance with standard blasting and coating practices and legislative requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify coating application inspection requirements • Check environmental condition (relative humidity, dry temperature, wet temperature, dew point, steel temperature) • Check Painter Competency • Certification • Verify HSE compliance • Approve/disapprove commencement of Coating activities • Monitor Coating application • Conduct Wet Film Thickness (WFT) inspection • Conduct Dry Film Thickness (DFT) inspection |
