| Penerangan CU | Foundry Operation Maintenance is a competency unit of all maintenance works and refurbishment of machines, equipments and hardware used in the manufacturing of casting products. It is executed in accordance with the standards set by the organizations and or customers. Total Preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance or combination of both maintenance approaches nomally employed. The foundry operation maintenance casting need to be carried out effectively to reduce operation idle time and improve process which lead to high product quality and productivity. The person who is competent in foundry operation maintenance shall be able to perform the inspection of machine functionality status, corrective action maintenance activities and work area housekeeping in accordance with the organization requirements. An effective foundry operation maintenance operator should be able to assist in implementing operation maintenance function to ensure that machine down time, cost of maintenance, and total productivity rate stay within control limit and performing housekeeping activities which are measured based on specified activities frequencies count and numbers of complaints in accordance with organizational requirements. The outcome of this CU is to meet occupational skills standard which incorporate the skills, knowledge and attitude to be delivered systematically. |
