| Penerangan CU | DCS is a network that receives input from field device and send to the computer unit. The analysis is done and a follow up action is being recommended by the DCS and send to the filed device receiver which will respond and send the necessary action to the final control elements at various places. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a digital computer. It is processor driven device that uses logic-based software to provide electrical control to machine. It is designed for multiple inputs and output arrangements and used for automation of electromechanical processes; extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed-up. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify DCS & PLC unit maintenance requirements, perform DCS & PLC visual and physical inspection, perform control system electrical routine service, perform control system functionality test and prepare maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure that plant is operated smoothly and reduce unnecessary process upset or shutdown. | Objektif Pembelajaran | The trainee who is competent in this CU shall be able to repair, service and upkeep DCS & PLC system according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency of equipment at all times. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to :- 1. Identify DCS & PLC maintenance requirements. 2. Perform DCS & PLC visual and physical inspection. 3. Perform DCS & PLC routine service. 4. Perform DCS & PLC functionality test. 5. Prepare maintenance report |
