| Penerangan CU | The function of power generation (turbine and diesel generator) is to generate electrical supply to platform/ installation. Turbine generator is used as the main power supply to installation while diesel generator is a standby and backup unit and used in case of emergency when there is a failure or upset in the turbine generator. Maintenance of this critical equipment will ensure the efficiency of the equipment and reduce the frequency of equipment breakdown. This will ensure continuous electrical supply to the installation. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify power generation location troubleshooting requirements, perform power generation visual and physical inspection, troubleshoot power generation electrical system problems, perform power generation functionality test, perform power generation system start-up and prepare power generation maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to repair, service and upkeep power and diesel generator system according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime of equipment to optimize production.
