| Penerangan CU | A Motor Control Centre (MCC) is an electrical switchboard which controls the performance of electric motors. It can have one or more panels accommodating control switches, indicators, and other apparatus for operating electric circuits. The MCC, or also known as switchboard, may include variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, metering starters, switching, and overload protection devices for electric motors. MCC is used for heavy and large electrical equipment such as oil transfer pump, crude oil pump, turbine and etc. Maintaining MCC is important because it has the functions of receiving & distributing power, controlling, protecting and measuring circuit. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify MCC and switchboard troubleshooting requirements, perform MCC and switchboard visual and physical inspection, troubleshoot MCC and switchboard electrical system problems, perform MCC and switchboard functionality test, Perform MCC and switchboard system start-up, and Prepare MCC and switchboard maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to repair, service and upkeep MCC and switchboard system according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime of equipment to optimize production.
