| Penerangan CU | An uninterruptible power supply, UPS is an electrical apparatus which acts as an electrical supply backup. It provides emergency electrical power to a critical load when the input of main power source fails. It will provide near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions during a power supply failure by supplying energy stored in backup batteries. The on-battery runtime of most UPS is though relatively short but rather sufficient to start a standby power source or properly shut down the protected equipment. Maintenance of the UPS is important to ensure the power supply to equipment is continuous and conditioned during operations. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify UPS troubleshooting requirements, perform UPS visual and physical inspection, troubleshoot UPS electrical system problems, perform UPS functionality test , perform UPS start-up and prepare UPS maintenance report The outcome of this competency is to repair, service and upkeep UPS system according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime of equipment to optimize production.
