| Penerangan CU | The main purpose of gas compression at offshore are for gas export, gas Injection to well, gas lift and fuel gas. Produced gas from the process is compressed so that it can be re-injected into the reservoir. Since this gas is non-associated and it is not allowed to do flaring as per EIA regulations, therefore the gas has to be redirected into the reservoir. Besides not violating the regulations it also helps to gaslift the well to fasten the crude oil flow. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify gas compression equipment maintenance requirements, perform gas compression equipment electrical system visual and physical inspection, perform gas compression equipment electrical system routine service, perform gas compression equipment electrical system routine service gas compression equipment functionality test and prepare gas compression equipment maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to repair, service and upkeep gas compression equipment according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime of equipment to optimize production.
