| Penerangan CU | Decorative Tiling Installation describes the installation of tile types and shapes using cement sand mortar or adhesive to form a specific pattern and meet client requirements. To be successful, it requires artistic design flair and high workmanship standards. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to perform work area preparation, prepare tools, machinery and materials, perform decorative design setting out, prepare substrate surface, perform tile fixing work, perform tile finishing work and perform housekeeping activities. The outcome of this CU is the tiles are properly installed in a good working condition according to construction drawing and decorative design. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcome of this competency is to enable the trainees to properly install tile types and shapes to form a specific pattern in a good working condition according to construction drawing. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Perform work area preparation . 2. Prepare tools, machinery and materials. 3. Perform decorative design setting out. 4. Prepare substrate surface. 5. Perform tile fixing work. 6. Perform tile finishing work. 7. Perform housekeeping activities. |
