| Penerangan CU | Piping Materials Management competency unit is to develop list of materials with quantities and descriptions (such as specific grades of steel) that are required to build the piping system. This list is generated by analysis of P&ID and piping drawing document. Material take off also includes the amount, and the weight of the items taken off. This is important when dealing with big projects, allowing the company to determine total weight of the take-off item and how best to move the item (if necessary) when construction is completed. Piping Designer is responsible to analyse the drawings and determine all the materials required to accomplish the design as per project / design specification requirements. In doing so, he / she shall be able to prepare materials catalogue, verify piping classes and other details specification as per isometric drawing details in order to create a bill of materials (BOM) for procurement and requisition purposes in accordance with Company Operating Procedure (COP). The outcome of this competency the piping designer will be able to produce material take-off list for procurement of materials. |
