| Penerangan CU | Solar Thermal System Piping Installation describes the installation process of the primary piping system (solar thermal collectors, water pump, heat exchanger and expansion tank) secondary piping system (water storage tank, water pump and distribution piping) and executes pressure test on the piping system to ensure the system can operate properly without any leakage. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to install piping and accessories at collector’s area, install piping between solar thermal collectors and primary water pump, install piping between primary water pump and heat exchanger, install piping and secondary water pump between heat exchanger and water tank, install piping for expansion tank, install top up water pipe and drain pipe, perform pressure test and install piping insulation. The outcome of this CU is the solar thermal system piping installed properly as per engineering drawing/schematics and installation procedures and without any leakage. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency unit are trainees enable to properly install the solar thermal system piping as per schematics and SOP and without any leakage. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Install piping and accessories at collector’s area. 2. Install piping between solar thermal collectors and primary water pump. 3. Install piping between primary water pump and heat exchanger. 4. Install piping and secondary water pump between heat exchanger and water tank. 5. Install piping for expansion tank. 6. Install top up water pipe and drain pipe. 7. Perform pressure test. 8. Install piping insulation. |
