Painting works can be performed using a variety of tools and techniques, depending on the surface to be painted and the desired outcome. Some common tools used in painting works include brushes, rollers and sponges. Techniques may vary depending on the surface to be painted and the type of paint being used. Painting works can serve many different purposes. Some of the most common purposes include adding colour or decorative elements to a surface. protecting a surface from wear and tear, weathering, or other forms of damage, covering up imperfections or damage to a surface, improving the overall aesthetic of a space or building and enhancing the value or marketability of a property. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to identify painting surface area, carry out taping works, prepare painting materials, carry out cut in/lining works, implement masonry substrate painting works, implement metal substrate painting works, implement wood substrate painting works, implement composite substrate painting works and carry out painting housekeeping works. The outcome of this CU is architectural painting works completed in accordance with painting technical specifications requirements. |
