| Penerangan CU | Perform surface preparation inspection works describes the process of inspecting a surface that is to be painted to ensure that it is properly prepared for the paint application. The purpose of the inspection is to identify any surface preparation issues that could impact the quality of the coating or the performance of the surface. Surface preparation inspection works usually covers inspection of surface cleanliness, surface dryness, surface profile, surface condition and environmental inspection. Once the surface preparation inspection works are completed, any necessary corrective actions are identified and implemented before the paint is applied. This helps to ensure that the paint is applied to a properly prepared surface and will perform as expected. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to carry out metal surface preparation inspection, carry out wood surface preparation inspection, carry out composite surface preparation inspection, carry out masonry surface preparation inspection and prepare surface preparation inspection report. The outcome of this CU is all paint surface is ready and qualify to move to the next stage which is the painting works. |
