| Penerangan CU | Rubber And Palm Oil Effluent Aerobic Treatment Operations describes the competency required to manage the effluent aerobic treatment process. Here, biological degradation are performed by aerobic (grow in the presence of oxygen) microorganisms which use dissolved oxygen to degrade the organic matter into carbon dioxide, water and cell biomass. Passive or naturally aerated unit rely on oxygen produced by phytoplankton during photosynthesis and, to a lesser extent, diffusion of oxygen from the air into surface layers process continues to further reduce the organic matter content of the effluent coming from the previous facultative treatment. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to check previous aerobic treatment inspection record, inspect physical condition of the aerobic treatment unit, carry out sampling of the aerobic treatment unit, carry out laboratory analysis based on scheduled aerobic treatment sampling, perform aerobic treatment process improvement, conduct other aerobic treatment routine operation and prepare aerobic treatment operations report. The outcome of this competency is to produce a more diluted effluent (aerobic liquor) with a further reduced amount of organic pollutant which may be discharged into the watercourse with properties that meet DOE standards. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | LEARNING OUTCOME The person who is competent in this CU should be able to manage the effluent aerobic treatment process.
