| Penerangan CU | Music transcription is to notate what is heard on a recording or during a live performance. Transcription can mean notating a piece or a sound which was previously not notated or creating sheet music from a recording and they write down the notes that make up the song in music notation. Transcription may also mean rewriting a piece of music, either solo or ensemble, for another instrument or other instruments than which it was originally intended. Transcribing consists of writing down the melody or the chord sequence, or maybe all the separate instrumental parts in a song. The person who is competent in music transcription shall be able to prepare transcribing requirements carry out mapping out of song, carry out transcribing activities and finalise music lead sheet transcribing. The outcome of this competency is to transcribe a music lead sheet for a song/music piece that is to be performed according to repertoire and performance requirements. |
