| Penerangan CU | Boiler plant mechanical components maintenance is a competency in servicing and repairing mechanical component and parts of boiler plant system. Boiler mechanical component such as pumps, compressor, valve system, compressed air systems, conveyor, silo system and other equipment is the important component that supports the operation of the boilers plant. The component must be schedully maintained, repaired or inspected during it operation. The person who is competent in boiler plant mechanical components maintenance shall be able to identify boiler mechanical components maintenance requirement, apply boiler mechanical components maintenance permit to work, prepare boiler mechanical components maintenance PPE, material, tools and equipment, Isolate boiler system, service boiler mechanical components repair boiler mechanical components, test boiler system functionality and prepare boiler mechanical components maintenance report The outcome of this competency is to ensure the boiler plant mechanical component is always in good condition, system running smoothly and safely according to manufacturer specification and regulatory body requirement (DOSH). The personnel who will be competent in this competency must in prior have the following competencies:- • Welding Certificate • Confine Space Permit/ Certificate |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to service and repair boiler plant mechanical component. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify boiler plant mechanical components maintenance requirement • Apply boiler plant mechanical component maintenance permit to work • Prepare boiler plant mechanical component maintenance’ PPE, material, tools and equipment • Isolate boiler system • Service boiler plant mechanical component • Repair boiler plant mechanical components • Test boiler system functionality • Record boiler maintenance logbook |
