| Penerangan CU | Boiler water/ steam side component maintenance is a competency in servicing and repairing water/ steam side component and parts of boiler system. Boiler water/ steam side contain two main area which is water and steam drum side component which include steam filter, cyclone, scrubber plate, strainer, super heater separator, steam/ water separator, feed water pipe; and mud drum (water side) component which include heating coil piping and mud separator. This is the area that steam is produce from heated water. The component must be schedully maintained, repaired or inspected during it operation. The person who is competent in boiler water/ steam side component maintenance shall be able to identify boiler water/ steam side maintenance requirement, apply boiler water/ steam side components maintenance permit to work, prepare boiler water/ steam side maintenance material, tools and equipment, isolate boiler system, service boiler water/steam side, repair boiler water/steam side component, test boiler water/ steam side components functionality, prepare boiler water/steam side components maintenance report . The outcome of this competency is to ensure the boiler water/ steam side component is always in good condition, system running smoothly and safely according to manufacturer specification and regulatory body requirement (DOSH). The personnel who will be competent in this competency must in prior have the following competencies:- • Welding Certificate • Confine Space Permit/ Certificate |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to service and repair boiler water/ steam side component. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify boiler water/ steam side component maintenance requirement • Apply boiler water/ steam side components maintenance permit to work • Prepare boiler water/ steam side component maintenance material, tools and equipment • Isolate boiler system • Service boiler water/steam side component • Repair boiler water/steam side component • Test boiler water/ steam side components functionality • Record boiler maintenance logbook |
