| Penerangan CU | Boiler instrumentation control system component maintenance is a competency in servicing and repairing instrumentation control system component and parts of boiler system. Boiler instrumentation control is a device that measures a physical quantity such as flow, temperature, level, distance, angle, or pressure in boiler system. The component such as gauges, regulator, sensor, pressure controller, sequencer, low / high water alarm and other equipment must always in good condition. The component must be sufficiently serviced, repaired or inspected during it operation. The person who is competent in boiler instrumentation control system component maintenance shall be able to identify boiler instrumentation control maintenance requirement, apply boiler instrumentation control maintenance permit to work prepare boiler instrumentation control maintenance tools and equipment isolate boiler system, service boiler instrumentation control repair boiler instrumentation control system, test boiler control instrumentation functionality and prepare boiler instrumentation control system maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the boiler instrumentation control system component functioning accurately and safely according to manufacturer specification and regulatory body requirement (DOSH). The personnel who will be competent in this competency must in prior have the following competencies:- • Welding Certificate • Confine Space Permit/ Certificate |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to service and repair boiler instrumentation control system component. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Identify boiler instrumentation control system component maintenance requirement • Apply boiler instrumentation control component maintenance permit to work • Prepare boiler instrumentation control component maintenance tools and equipment • Isolate boiler system • Service boiler instrumentation control component • Repair boiler instrumentation control system component • Test boiler instrumentation control functionality • Record boiler maintenance logbook |
