| Penerangan CU | Temporary working platform installation is a competency in preparing, erecting and dismantling temporary working platform if the inspection and maintenance works occurs at high area for boiler system. Combustion chambers, chimney/silo and some of other component of a boiler in power plants normally is big and located at high place must be subjected to inspections and repairs at regular intervals. They may be carried out by using safe working platforms, which enable the personnel maintenance works. After the boiler has been suitably inspected and repaired as necessary, the platform is removed in the reverse order in which it was installed. The person who is competent in temporary working platform installation shall be able to identify platform installation requirement, apply permit to work, prepare platform installation PPE, material, tools and equipment, prepare platform installation PPE, material, tools and equipment, carry out working platform installation, dismantle working platform and prepare working platform installation report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the safe working platforms are installed and readied for use according to regulatory body requirement (DOSH). The personnel who will be competent in this competency must in prior have the following competencies:- • Scaffolding Certificate (If relevant) |
