| Penerangan CU | Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) performance monitoring describes the competency required to provide continuous monitoring of compliance parameters for the purpose of effluent permit reporting purposes or simply self-monitoring purposes. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to gather monitoring information Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) data, analyse trend of operational data from control and monitoring system, review Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) equipment performance, establish Performance Monitoring Committee (PMC), evaluate system performance of control and monitoring system and prepare performance report of control system and monitoring system. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the concentration of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and any parameter as specified in the Fifth Schedule, install flow-meters, sampling, monitoring and recording equipment, maintain a record of industrial effluent or mixed effluent discharge monitoring data in the form as specified in the Tenth Schedule in compliance with Operational Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) Environment Quality (EQ) Industrial Effluents Regulation (IER) in 2009 outlined in the Guidance Document on Performance Monitoring of Industrial Effluents Treatment System. |
