| Penerangan CU | Seaport water limit patrolling is a surveillance deployment responsible for ensuring the safety of water limit, enforcing laws relating to vessel navigation, preventing crime on vessels, shoreline, providing search and rescue services (1st responder) before more specialized units arrive), and allowing the team to reach the incident site including locations not easily accessible from land. Shall also be responsible to assist enforcement of coastal security, immigration law and smuggling prevention. In any incidence patrolling personnel may coordinate with other local authorities/agencies to promote or achieve similar enforcement or rescue outcomes. The person who is competent in Seaport water limit patrolling shall be able to patrol the Seaport water limit including Seaport anchorages to prevent crime and security breaches within the water limit. The outcome of this competency unit is to enable effective Seaport water limit patrolling that would deter and prevent security breaches at the water limit which will reflect the image of a secured Seaport and impact user confidence of the Seaport services provided. |
