| Penerangan CU | Baggage Screening Machine Maintenance is a process of scanning passenger baggage by prevent any threats or potentially dangerous situations from arising or entering the country. Baggage Screening Machine Maintenance is an activity to perform maintenance of X-Ray machine which divided into two types of maintenance to be carried out: - Preventive Maintenance (Schedule Maintenance) - Corrective Maintenance (Breakdown Maintenance) The person who competent in Baggage Screening Machine Maintenance shall be able to perform: i) Perform X-Ray machine In-Line Baggage (ILB) Screening Level 1 Preventive Maintenance ii) Perform X-ray Workstation ILB Screening Level 2 Preventive Maintenance iii) Perform X-Ray machine ILB Screening Level 3 Preventive Maintenance iv) Perform Trace Detection machine ILB Screening Level 4 Preventive Passenger and Staff Screening (PSS) Preventive Maintenance vi) Perform Walkthrough Metal Detector (WTMD) PSS Preventive Maintenance vii) Perform X-Ray machine corrective maintenance viii) Supervise X-Ray machine Preventive maintenance by Support Services ix) Supervise X-Ray machine Corrective Maintenance by Support Services in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standard. The individual who has been certified by Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) will be appointed as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) and Operator. These people are recognized to perform X-ray machine maintenance by Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB). They also are responsible to manage Radiation Protection Program provided by the legal authority. X-Ray machines consist of two system which are In-Line Baggage (ILB) screening and Passenger Screening System (PSS). ILB is in-line with conveyor system while PSS is standalone. ILB has 4 level of screening as follows: Screening Level 1 = autoscreening (computerized) Screening Level 2 = the image of rejected baggage from 1st level screening analyze and decide by operator) Screening Level 3 = machine screen by operator Screening Level 4 = Trace Detection machine handle by operator. Screening Level 5 = mobile explosive container vessel (MECV) The outcome of this CU is able to sustain screening machine detect forbidden materials, produce sharp image, trigger alarm and produce accurate data report. |
