| Penerangan CU | Disaster management can be defined as the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to prepare requirements for disaster management, monitor supply of basic necessities, update current status of disaster statistics, monitor support team program and activities, coordinate evacuees assistance with relevant agencies and prepare disaster management report. The outcome of this competency is to conduct effective management of resources and responsibilities during disaster relief according to the National Security Council Directive (NSC) No. 20 (Policy and Disaster Management and Relief Mechanism (Arahan Majlis Keselmatan Negara (MKN) No. 20 (Dasar dan Mekanisma Pengurusan dan Bantuan Bencana Negara, 11th May 1997)) and Standard Regulations of Disaster Relief Operations Management 2012 (Peraturan Tetap Operasi Pengurusan Bantuan Bencana). |
