| Penerangan CU | Chemical/ media preparation is a surface preparation method that involves the use of chemical such as alkaline and solvents. Any liquid or solid preparation made specifically for the growth, storage or transport of microorganisms or other types of cells. The variety of media that exist allow for the cultures of specific microorganism and all types such as differential media, selective media, test media and defined media. Solid media consist of liquid media that have been solidified with an agent such as agar or solution The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify chemical/ media preparation requirement, produce stock or standard solution, store prepared stock or standard solution and check stock or standard solution quality according to SOP and/or laboratory quality manual The outcome of this competency is to produce standard solution or media for analysis purposed. The testing of product by physical means as opposed to instrumental or wet analysis. This would include specific gravity, optical rotation, refractive index, bulk density and other physical non electronic test The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify physical analysis requirement, carry out physical test, prepare physical test report and carry out waste handling activities according to SOP and/or laboratory quality manual and/or ISO requirement The outcome of this competency is to perform physical test, data analysis and data interpretation. |
