Penerangan CUIndian rice preparation and production are activities in preparing savoury Indian style rice dishes. These include the preparation of par-boil rice, Briyani rice and quality rice, each representing a particular serving and preparation requirement. Rice is a staple food in Indian cuisine, along with lentils and wheat.

The person who is competent in Indian rice variations shall be able to prepare idli / dosas / uttapam, prepare flavoured rice dishes and prepare Briyani rice dishes in accordance with standard rice recipe requirement.

The outcome of this competency is to ensure rice produced with texture, taste, and aroma and presented in accordance with Indian rice preparation and production recipe.
